Creating art has been second nature to me for as long as I can remember. What began as a childhood passion has grown into a career centered around helping businesses understand who they are—and translating that identity into thoughtful, meaningful design.

Based in Palo Alto, CA, I am a designer, creative director, hospitality professional, and founder of Lauren Brown Design Studios. My work spans brand identity, hospitality design, creative direction, environmental advertising, merchandise, packaging, menu design, visual storytelling, and brand experience.

But for me, impactful design begins long before the first sketch. It starts with curiosity—asking thoughtful questions, understanding the people behind a business, and discovering what makes their story worth remembering.

My background in hospitality has shaped that perspective in a meaningful way. Working closely with business owners, teams, guests, and communities taught me to think beyond how something looks and consider how it feels, functions, communicates, and is experienced. Alongside that work, collaborations across hospitality, music, and independent businesses have allowed me to develop identities, physical products, environmental graphics, merchandise, advertising, and creative campaigns that bring ideas into the real world.

Through Lauren Brown Design Studios, I bring those experiences together—combining creative instinct with strategy, communication, and an understanding of the people a brand ultimately serves. I believe the strongest creative partnerships are built through trust, collaboration, and a genuine investment in the people behind the work.

As I continue growing as a creative director and designer, I’m especially inspired by the intersection of design, human experience, hospitality, and emerging technology—and by opportunities to collaborate with ambitious people, explore unfamiliar ideas, and create work that has a reason to exist beyond simply looking good.

I believe design should evoke curiosity, elevate experience, and endure beyond the moment.
